Wine Tasting with a Sommelier - Three nights: Tuesday September 5; Tuesday September 12; & Tuesday September 19. 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
Our last series of classes provided excellent academic as well as hands-on information on wines and their role in society throughout history, as well as a nice introduction into sensory perception. This next set of classes will be less academic and more hands-on. We all know that we "smell something" or "taste something" in our wines. Sommelier Spencer Burton will take you through the nuances of wine tasting. You will learn about what you are smelling and tasting, as well as what causes the effects that wine has on your tongue. Each night we will taste 4-6 wines, and learn how to more effectively put into words what our nose and tastebuds are sensing.

Cost: $25 per person per class.
This event will be limited to only 15 guests, and as always our Club de Vin members will have the first opportunity to reserve a space.

Wine & Food Pairing Dinner - Monday, October 2, 2006 - Reservations Now Available!

Join us as we gather at one of Fresno's most loved dinner venues as we enjoy five wines that have been specifically selected by Mr. Chris Turner from Stefanelli Distributing to pair with the delicious custom menu put together by the Manhattan's chef.
This event will be limited to only 36 guests, and as always our Club de Vin members will have the first opportunity to reserve a space.
Cost: $90 per person (Includes Tax and Gratuity)

Sonoma Wine Tasting Trip - Sunday, November 5, 2006 - Tuesday, November 7, 2006.
OK, we know that we first said Napa Valley, but when you see the line-up we have for the wineries you will agree that this is an opportunity we couldn't miss. We are very pleased to be teaming up with Great Vacations travel agency (across the parking lot from us at Piazza del Fiore) for this trip. A variety of hotel properties in Sonoma are being considered for our lodging and "home base."
The preliminary itinerary is as follows:
Sunday, November 5. 5:00pm - 7:00pm reception at hotel. Dinner on your own.

Monday, November 6. Breakfast on your own. Meet at 9:30am in hotel lobby for departure on a memoriable day of wine tasting. We will stop by three historic and world-class wineries before returning to the hotel around 4:00pm. In addition to wine tasting at all three wineries, we will be enjoying a catered lunch at either the first or second winery. When we return to the hotel, we will have have time to return to our rooms and freshen up before a wine dinner at approximately 6:00pm.

Tuesday, November 7. Meet at 10:00am for a champagne brunch before we head for home.
The cost of the trip (which is still yet to be detemined) will include lodging, the Sunday reception, all wine tasting and meals on Monday, and the Tuesday brunch.
We may also be offering optional bus transportation from Fresno to Sonoma on Sunday, and back on Tuesday. The estimated additional cost of the bus would be $75-$85 per person. This will depend on how many of our customers wish to take a bus, rather than drive themselves.
Stay Tuned for more information.
