DSL Installation
- PC
Thank
you for choosing STI. This guide will help you
install the DSL router and make sure your computer
is properly configured. The DSL router has been
pre-configured and is ready for you to use.
Before you begin, turn off the computer. If
you requested an Ethernet card from us, install
it before continuing. See the Quick Installation
Guide that came with the Ethernet/PCI Card.
Step
1: Connect phone cord, power supply, and Ethernet
cable (all of these are in your kit)
A. Plug one end of the phone cord directly into
a phone jack, and the other end into the "DSL"
port on the DSL router.
B. Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into your
Ethernet card (at the back or side of your computer),
and the other end into one of the LAN/Ethernet
ports on the DSL router.
C. Plug the power supply into an electrical
outlet (or surge protector), and the other end
into the power port on the DSL router.
D. Install a filter on all other devices connected
to your phone line(s). DO NOT install a filter
on the line to the DSL router. Click HERE
for more information on installing your DSL
filters.
Step
2: Turn on the equipment
A. Turn on the DSL router.
B. Wait 60 seconds or until the DSL/ACT light
turns amber.
C. Turn on the computer.
Step
3: Check the Connection settings
A. Click on Start, point to Settings, and click
on Control Panel. (If you are using Windows
XP: click on Start, and click on Control Panel.)

are using Windows XP, and Category view, click
on "Network and Internet Connections" then click
